Clynelish 17 (BBR) 1997 for Shinanoya

Sample 3/12 of the May tasting set

Initial Nose: Honey, floral, lemon sherbert, custard, violets

Nosing after time: Honey lemon boiled sweets that gets more syrupy over time, white pepper, more waxy/oiliness comes through

Palate: Waxy, lemon peel, slightly herbal with notes of cinnamon and bay leaf

Finish: light wax, slight herbs, menthol sweets, slight bitterness remains, short but enjoyable finish

A really enjoyable Clynelish without the white fruits but with wonderful floral notes. The palate is quite enjoyable with the herbal notes that come through with the typical Clynelish wax
