Old Speyside (Tamdhu) 43 (Eiling Lim) 1973

Sample 11/12 of the May tasting set

Initial Nose: Chrysanthemum, flowers, cream, vanilla, wax, honey, papaya, apricots, hint of nuts

Nosing after time: cream, mangos, guavas, rambutans, coconuts, icing sugar

Palate: Cream with hint of spices that develops into apricots, juicy tropical fruits, marzipan, sweet vanilla, coconut, light spices

Finish: Waxiness remains with sweet icing sugar that goes into zesty lemon soda,

A wonderful dessert packed full of sweet and sourness. Sort of reminds me of pop rocks where too much can be too sweet. But definitely a dram for a sweet tooth.
